The competitive retail sector is under pressure to provide efficient services to hold its share of the market. As consumers demand higher levels of service and supply, they are simutaneously wooed by other alternatives like mail order and out of-town-shopping. The Journal of Retail Management Research and Development (JRMR) provides a link between production and consumer, and by understanding their relationship it allows retail personnel to study operations practice in other organizations, and to compare methodologies.

Key benefits of this journal:

Because the journal is not connected to any retail or distribution organization, it remains totally impartial and can publish controversial material as well as highlight special concerns in an objective manner. This makes it an especially valuable resource for a worldwide readership committed to the improvement of standards in retail distribution.
